RPG Maker VX Ace: Erase Picture command error

Are you sure it is the Erase Picture command giving you this error and not Move Picture? I have gotten this exact error with the Move Picture command if you try to move a picture that isn't there. i.e.: You have only Picture 1 active, but tried to move Picture 2 instead.

Dev Log #7: June Report

I started the game around July 2019 and the initial reveal was around September. So in total it's been about 11 months since I started working on it. Roughly the same amount of time that Soma Spirits took in its entirety!

The Brief and Meaningless Adventure of Hero Man Review

Oh man this is taking me way back, lol. I'm glad to hear you liked this old adventure of mine! It would definitely inspire me to work on Brave Hero Yuusha shortly after.

Thanks for the stellar review! :)

Call for Testers for an Incomplete Final Build

by golly i'll do it

New RPG Maker incoming?

If there's no way to switch back to Sprite-based animations instead of particle based ones, I assume it's going to be devastating for pixel art games. Granted, I don't know how much extra effort it takes to do sprite animations in a particle editor, if that's even possible.

I feel like they're really pushing people to use RTP or an RTP-like style with this.

Just added cursor memory to DR. Question is, what should be the default?

Speedrunners will love you for including it regardless.

Not sure if I can glean what this is about based on the file name. Hmm...

Prologue Demo Available!

It does my heart good to hear everyone is enjoying the game! Thanks, all!

an overall cozy experience.

Let's start a trend of cozy games.

[Poll] RMGame Hacks

I put myself down as wary, but I'd say I'm somewhere between excited and wary.

I know of at least one person who has made mods and hacks of my games. It's honestly quite exciting to see what people will come up with and what they can learn from looking at someone else's game. Heck, I got my start in gamedev by doing Dragon Warrior romhacks, so it's kind of wild to think that someone is learning through a game that I made myself.

I did find it a little irksome at first but I also know that romhacking and datamining are eventualities. And as long as people aren't stealing assets, re uploading the game somewhere, claiming the game is theirs, etc, I'm usually pretty lenient (thought slightly less so with my commercial releases).

It also has the added benefit of putting me into better data-scrubbing practices when I release demos. Making sure not to include anything you don't want prying eyes to find is a good practice for any dev to get into.

EDIT: I should probably clarify that my stance really just applies to what are essentially fangames/fanhacks of my work, and things that are otherwise harmless. If someone was hacking my games with malicious intent I'd be a lot more strict about it.
